'''Mohammedescu Ionuț''' (24 April 1991 – 30 June 2025), known as '''The Iron Fist''', was a Romanian street fighter and enforcer for the [[Bucharest Butchers]]. He collected debts in Sector 5 and held the organization's Cutthroat rank.<ref name="butchers-ranks"/> Other members regarded him as their strongest hand-to-hand fighter. He was executed by firing squad after the [[Bucharest Tribunal]] assigned him death in June 2025.

== Early life ==
Mohammedescu was born in [[Ferentari]], [[Bucharest]], on 24 April 1991. His mother, Hessa Al-Shamsi, had moved from [[Sharjah]], [[United Arab Emirates]], to study in Bucharest, where she met his father, [[Marcel Ionuț]]. Marcel was a Bucharest Butchers enforcer whose position depended on its leader, [[Oskar Dirlewanger]]. He collected debts in Sector 5 and trained his son to fight, using beatings as part of the instruction. Hessa raised Mohammedescu as a Muslim. On 17 October 2001, Marcel introduced the ten-year-old to [[Glöbbery]] and Tanoan mysticism. Mohammedescu combined his Islamic upbringing with worship of [[The Gentleman]] and a Tanoan belief in divine protection. Hessa continued teaching him Islamic practices but did not challenge Marcel because she feared him.

His schooling ended after an attack on 12 May 2006. To frighten the other students, Mohammedescu chose a weaker pupil, knocked him down and crushed his nose by stomping on his face. The school expelled him three days later. Marcel approved and asked his older second cousin, [[Marku Ionuț]], to arrange paid fights for him. Marku entered the fifteen-year-old in his first organized illegal fight on 22 July. Outside these events, Mohammedescu began attacking people in the street for amusement. Marku supplied him with steroids from 2 June 2007, and Mohammedescu became dependent on them as his fighting continued. On 10 August 2008, Marku sponsored him for admission into the Bucharest Butchers. Mohammedescu refused an offered place in [[Porno Bucharest]], after which Oskar assigned him to collect debts in Sector 5 under Marcel's supervision.

Marku continued supporting Mohammedescu despite his refusal to join Porno Bucharest. For Mohammedescu's nineteenth birthday on 24 April 2010, Marku supplied a minor held through the department's trafficking network and recorded Mohammedescu sexually assaulting her. He continued supplying victims for assaults on Mohammedescu's subsequent birthdays. Some were minors. An estimated eight to ten children were born as a result, although their exact number and identities remain unknown. Mohammedescu never contacted or supported them.

== Criminal career ==
On his eighteenth birthday, 24 April 2009, Mohammedescu received authority to handle Sector 5 collections without his father. When a debtor refused to pay, he commonly beat the person unconscious in public. Removing the tongues of those who continued to resist became his personal tradition. He also displayed knives engraved with the names of people he had defeated in fights. These methods established him as one of the Butchers' senior debt collectors despite his low formal rank.

Street fighting remained another source of income. Incomplete underground records credited Mohammedescu with about 75 organized victories and no defeats, excluding his unrecorded attacks on people in the street. [[Andrei Ionuț]] named him The Iron Fist on 19 September 2010. He remained heavily dependent on steroids throughout his career and fought for the last time on his 33rd birthday, 24 April 2024.

Although Mohammedescu understood how to frighten and manipulate people during a confrontation, he could not plan larger operations or manage subordinates. He often ignored instructions once violence began. The organization consequently kept him at the Cutthroat rank despite his strength and collection record. He nevertheless remained loyal until its collapse. Mohammedescu was also a neo-Nazi extremist. As Tanoan influence over the Butchers increased, he received the first of multiple swastika tattoos on 17 October 2015 and came to believe that they protected him from injury.

== Capture and execution ==
After the Bucharest Butchers collapsed, Mohammedescu spent five days hiding while attempting to leave Bucharest. Members of the [[Fish Collective]] found him on 6 May 2025. He had concealed himself in bushes but fell backward onto a discarded syringe used for heroin. His cry revealed his location. A severe bacterial infection developed at the puncture site, and the treatment he received in detention delayed his tribunal proceeding.

The Bucharest Tribunal assigned him death on 29 June 2025. He was executed by firing squad at a tribunal detention compound the following day. Mohammedescu laughed before the shooting and made no final statement.
