== Early life ==
Jibbut Snagov was born as Jibbut Ryabov in [[Nikolayevo-Darino]], [[Kursk Oblast]], [[Russia]], on 17 March 1974. His family moved to [[Snagov]], [[Romania]], in late 1989, when he was 15 years old. The family later used the surname Snagov to fit into the town.

His father, Sergei Ryabov, became known as Sergiu Snagov in Romania. He worked as a postman after the family settled in Snagov.

Snagov became interested in nuclear physics while living in Romania. He was also interested in gases and liquids. In 1992, he saw members of the [[Bucharest Butchers]] shake down a man near [[Piața Obor]] in [[Bucharest]]. They left in an expensive car. The incident drew him toward the group.
