== History ==

Rotterdam-Zuid consolidated during the late twentieth century as a factional authority structure in the southern districts of Rotterdam. Its base developed south of the [[Maas]], where the faction used local routes and storage points to support movement inside the city.<ref name="rotterdam-zuid"/>

The faction became identified with southern Rotterdam authority and opposition to Noord-aligned networks. This division was reflected in the rivalry between Angelo Zuid and [[Angelo Noord]]. The dispute later affected [[Angelo Martin Zuid]] after he left the [[Noord family]] structure and aligned himself with Rotterdam-Zuid.<ref name="angelo-martin"/>
