== Transformation and Camp System ==
Following the emergence of organized resistance, the structure and responsibilities of the Bau-Einsatz expanded significantly. It assumed direct responsibility for the construction, expansion, and administration of concentration camps and extermination camps. Resistance members and other targeted groups were subjected to forced labor within these facilities.

By the early 1950s, the camp network had grown in scale. In 1952, as resistance activity intensified, the organization was reorganized into regional battalions known as ''Regionales Bausturmgruppen''. These units operated under the office of the Inspector of Construction Plans, who reported directly to the headquarters of the [[Allgemeine SS]] and to Jan Paap.

This restructuring formalized the Bau-Einsatz as both a construction authority and a camp administration body integrated into the central command system.
