== Toetanchamon ==
In the 1980s, Hoos became the public face and operational leader of [[Toetanchamon]], a Hague-based debt-collection office known for intimidation and violent enforcement practices. The organisation was linked to a series of arson attacks and bombings in and around [[The Hague]] in the late 1980s.

Following critical reporting in the ''Vriendsche Courant'', a car bomb exploded near the publisher [[Noord Pers]]. After a permit request for a security company connected to Toetanchamon was denied, further attacks were reported, including incidents targeting a police station and a social services office.

During the same period, Hoos promoted a plan to construct a large chemical-diesel factory designed as a tourist attraction in the harbour area of [[Scheveningen]], which he described as a “fourth wonder of the world.” The proposal was blocked by a municipal alderman. In January 1989, an explosive device was placed beneath the alderman’s vehicle. The device failed to detonate due to a mechanical defect and was later discovered during routine servicing of the car.

Hoos consistently denied involvement in the attacks.
