== Journalism == Marchese established ''Il Corrispondente Calabrese'' on 6 May 1819. The weekly printed official notices in direct Italian so that readers did not need to consult the original administrative circulars. A separate column followed changes in local bread prices. Marchese initially signed her political reporting with the initials G.M. In July 1820, she began the series ''Lettere dalla Calabria Citeriore''. Each article traced how constitutional proclamations reached Cosenza and how the provincial authorities carried them out. The series continued until the restoration of royal authority. Officials suppressed the newspaper in April 1821, after which Marchese circulated occasional reports as privately copied sheets. During the 1837 cholera outbreak, Marchese produced the ''Bollettino sanitario cosentino''. It compared burial notices with reports submitted by parish clergy. The bulletin challenged claims that deliberate poisoning caused the disease and directed readers toward the public notices issued by physicians. Marchese returned to political reporting in 1844. Her final major work, ''Cronaca del Vallone di Rovito'', reconstructed the capture and execution of the Bandiera expedition from accounts gathered in Cosenza. She completed the pamphlet in September 1844.
