Editing Regional Großabschnitte (section)

Organization
The Regional Großabschnitte operated beneath the Oberkommando der Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. Each Großabschnitt maintained a regional command staff responsible for its assigned sector. The Amt für Territoriale Kommandostrukturen supervised the commands within the military division of the Oberkommando.

Three administrative structures were typically maintained within each Großabschnitt. Militärische Einsatzgruppen conducted regional security operations. Politische Verwaltungsgruppen managed political administration and subordinate civil offices. Agenda- und Entwicklungsgruppen directed infrastructure and development work.

The Amt für Regionale Politische Verwaltung reviewed political administration and reporting from the regional commands. The Amt für Staatliche Rechtsordnung issued legal and administrative rules applied within controlled territories. The Amt für Außenpolitische Angelegenheiten handled foreign political coordination when a regional command dealt with external governments or political intermediaries. The Großabschnitte implemented these central directives through their regional and local offices.
