Curieri were usually selected from associates with experience in driving or smuggling. Candidates completed supervised deliveries before receiving independent assignments. The senior member directing a shipment approved the Curier and provided the destination shortly before departure.

A Curier collected firearms and ammunition from a Bucharest Butchers warehouse or storage property. Most deliveries ended at the residence of a senior member, where the cargo was received by personnel stationed at the property. Larger assignments could require a Curier to supervise the transfer of weapons between vehicles or accompany a shipment intended to cross a national border.
