== Leadership ==

The Sicherheitsdienst von Eef Paap was formally subordinate to the leadership of the [[Tanoanischssicherheitshauptamt]], but in practice it operated with a high degree of internal autonomy. The head of the service reported directly to [[Eef Paap]] in matters concerning political security and strategic intelligence.

For many years, the public face of the organization was an individual widely referred to as the [[SD Man]]. His official identity was never confirmed in state publications. He was commonly described as wearing a grey suit and holding the rank of Oberstgruppenführer. Contemporary accounts portrayed him as one of the tallest senior commanders in Tanoa and as a strict executor of directives issued by the Führer. He was also known to carry a distinctive golden Walther P38.
