Editing Stichting Noord Registratiebureau (section)

== Activities ==
The Stichting Noord Registratiebureau reviews civil documents connected to population registration. Staff handle birth certificates and family-registry material. When information is missing or contradictory, they compare a submitted document with records already held by the bureau. Older municipal extracts may also be examined. If the available material is incomplete, the bureau can request further documentation from the person or office that submitted the file.<ref name="luger-career"/>

The organization also conducts checks outside its offices. Personnel may ask individuals to present documentation showing their birth registration when an irregularity is suspected. Walter Noord has carried out such checks himself and has issued fines to people who could not present a birth certificate.

[[Toonio Noord]] joined the bureau in 1994. His work has included document intake and registration review. He has also maintained local records and corrected incomplete files.<ref name="toonio-career"/>
