== Role in the Middenvader Era ==

After 1945, internal disputes arose within the [[Schroeter family]] concerning control and direction of Schroeter Traktoren. These disagreements became the central issue of the [[Middenvader Commissie]] meetings in 1949 and 1959.

Ferdinand Schroeter participated in both commissions. Accounts describe him as advocating continuity of agricultural identity and preservation of the company as a family institution. The commissions did not resolve the conflict, and division between family factions intensified during the 1950s.

Several days after the conclusion of the second commission in 1959, Ferdinand Schroeter was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds. The killing is documented separately as the [[Assassination of Ferdinand Schroeter]].
