== Schroeter family ==

The [[Schroeter family]] has its main Overschie link through [[Lourens Schroeter]] and [[Martinus Schroeter]].

[[Lourens Schroeter]] was born in Overschie on 14 January 1940. His early life in the district forms the Overschie background of the Schroeter family before his later role in [[De Vrienden]].

[[Martinus Schroeter]] was born in Overschie on 17 November 1900. He worked in the local Schroeter stone business from 1921 and expanded the family marble workshop into his own working space in 1934. His marble work became part of the local Schroeter trade in Overschie.
