== Petition and rehabilitation ==
In 2023 [[Walter Noord]] started a petition to move [[Antonie Ronald Paap]], [[Martin Paap (father)|Martin Paap I]], and Maltin Paap out of the camp. The petition called for the men to be removed from confinement and placed under formal care.

The petition succeeded in August 2023. Antonie Ronald Paap and Martin Paap I were transferred to a supervised care home in the Rotterdam area. Maltin Paap was sent to a rehabilitation centre.

Following public attention surrounding the camp, [[Angelo Paap]] became the subject of investigations into corruption, abuse, and unethical treatment of vulnerable residents connected to the site. Walter Noord was later credited by members of the [[Paap family]] with helping secure safer living conditions for the men removed from the camp.
