== Removal, capture and death ==
The collapse of the [[Tanoa Einsatzgruppen]] on 30 November 2024 removed the external support used by Marku's faction and weakened the protection around the Bucharest Butchers.<ref name="butchers-downfall"/> Snubable Enterprise and the Bucharest Butchers became exposed to raids and defections as internal control broke down. The loss also cut off Tanoa-backed supplies and transport protection. Emergency administrative measures removed Ionuț from the presidency of the Ilfov County Council and from the Bucharest–Ilfov Industrial Development Commissioner post on 15 December. Offices connected to his administration were sealed or placed under outside review. Some political allies resigned, while others distanced themselves from the Bucharest Butchers.

Ionuț remained aligned with Marku after losing office. He tried to keep safe routes open and retain access to money. He also sought protection for senior figures. As properties were exposed and records were seized, officials who had previously cooperated with him began working with opposing forces. During early 2025, Fish Collective attacks breached Snubable-linked facilities and the Bucharest Butchers protection network deteriorated. Ionuț tried to retain documents and funds. He also kept contact lists that could still be used during the collapse.

[[Stefan Shrankenhaus]] died near Bucharest on 30 April 2025. [[Richard Rambam]] and [[Peter Pecker]] were captured and executed the following day. Snubable Enterprise surrendered and dissolved on 6 May.<ref name="snubable-collapse"/> Ionuț still held documents and contact lists, together with knowledge of political corruption. He moved between safe apartments and houses in northern Bucharest and Ilfov County. Those movements became more difficult after seized Snubable and Bucharest Butchers files exposed property records and contacts.

By late May, Ionuț no longer had protected drivers or safe offices. Most of his political intermediaries and cooperative officials were gone. He attempted to leave Romania alone using false documents and a small amount of money. The [[Fish Collective]] caught him at the Romania–Bulgaria border on 3 June after a search for the remaining Bucharest Butchers leadership. Investigators seized his documents and personal notes. They also recovered false identity papers. The papers were compared with property and procurement records recovered from Snubable-linked sites and protected apartments in Bucharest and Ilfov County. Investigators also held shell-company papers and transport logs. Lists of political contacts were being reviewed at the same time.

Ionuț was transferred to Bucharest under guard. His capture gave the Fish Collective access to one of the last surviving senior political figures from Marku's faction. On 7 June, the Fish Collective formally charged him. The charge sheet covered collaboration with the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen and participation in an organized criminal group. It also contained abuse-of-office and bribery charges. Money laundering and procurement fraud were charged separately. Falsification of records appeared alongside obstruction of justice. The remaining counts included trafficking in persons and protection of offenders. Ionuț was also charged with rape and child sexual abuse. A further count accused him of participation in child exploitation networks.

The Fish Collective stated that Ionuț had used public authority to protect criminal sites and block investigations. It also accused him of preserving Snubable infrastructure and maintaining political cover for Marku's faction. The statement identified him as a direct perpetrator of sexual crimes and as a protector of other offenders.

Members of the Fish Collective executed Ionuț by firing squad in [[Bucharest]] on 10 June 2025, three days after the charges were filed. His final words were, "I would do it again if I had the chance to."
