== Later life and death ==

In 1933, Van Hetten recovered and recommissioned the UFO he had used before the First World War. He resumed flights between Earth and [[Era (planet)|Era]] and continued performing surgery for relatives and friends.

On 2 November 1963, Van Hetten died suddenly while alone aboard his UFO during a flight between Earth and Era. Other Van Hetten UFOs located the craft and recovered his body. His UFO was reportedly taken to [[Era (planet)|Era]] afterward. Its later location is unknown.
