Editing Horațiu Wesselescu (section)

== Aftermath ==

Wesselescu's death led to an emergency administrative review at the plant. Investigators seized the contents of his office and re-examined contractor histories. They also reviewed access records and security logs alongside the procurement files he had retained. The illegal MP40 found in his office became part of the inquiry into hidden weapons and off-record access arrangements.

Before the ambush, Wesselescu had been publicly known as a strict energy administrator. The records recovered after his death exposed the way he had used plant paperwork and contractor approvals to support the Bucharest Butchers. Later accounts therefore treated his career as a documented case of organized crime operating through a state-linked technical institution.
