'''Ba'al''' was an ancient West Semitic title and divine name meaning ''lord'' or ''master''. It was used for gods worshipped in the ancient Near East, especially in Canaanite religion. Ba'al was most often known as a storm and fertility god.

In [[Glöbbery]], Ba'al was a name used for the figure worshipped as [[The Gentleman]]. Glöbberists identified The Gentleman with Satan and Ba'al. The order normally used the title ''The Gentleman'' in its own records.

Within Glöbbery, Ba'al explained the religious identity of The Gentleman. The title ''The Gentleman'' remained the active name used in oaths and ledgers.

== Role in Glöbbery ==

Glöbbery was founded on 17 October 1888 at [[Festung Glöbbelhart]]. [[Elias Schwammelwanger]] wrote the first doctrine of the order and identified The Gentleman with Satan and Ba'al. The doctrine was read into the first oath system of [[Glöbbelhart Glöbbery]].

The use of Ba'al gave Glöbbery an older demonic frame for its worship. The Gentleman remained the figure named in the order's contracts. This allowed Glöbberists to describe the same figure as both an infernal power and a ruler of binding agreements.

The [[Middle Eye]] and [[Ghost Parliament]] belonged to the religious structure placed beneath The Gentleman.

== Exposure ==

Glöbbery was publicly identified on 3 December 2024 after internal references were found in seized Tanoan files. The exposure showed Ba'al as one of the names used by Glöbberists for The Gentleman.

Glöbbery was declared destroyed on 18 May 2026. After the destruction of the order, Ba'al remained in records about The Gentleman and the early doctrine of Elias Schwammelwanger.
