'''Benedetto Nostrini''' (27 October 1784 – 20 February 1858) was an Italian archivist and family secretary of the Nostrini family. He served as ''segretario della convocazione'' during the [[Convocazione Settentrionale della Famiglia Nostrini]], held from 23 to 30 April 1811 at the [[Casa di San Michele]] in [[Aversa]].

Nostrini wrote the internal account later known as the [[Memoria familiare della Convocazione Settentrionale della Famiglia Nostrini]]. The first version was completed on 18 June 1811 and became the main family account of the succession dispute between the northern and Calabrian branches.

== Early life and education ==
Benedetto Nostrini was born on 27 October 1784 in [[Aversa]], then part of the [[Kingdom of Naples]]. He belonged to the northern branch of the Nostrini family, which used Aversa as its main administrative base before the 1811 convocation.

Nostrini began private instruction on 15 September 1792. His early education focused on Latin reading and formal handwriting. On 3 October 1796, he entered the Seminario vescovile di Aversa as an external lay pupil. He left the seminary on 21 June 1800.

On 3 November 1800, Nostrini began notarial instruction under [[Carlo Bellandi]] in Aversa. His work under Bellandi gave him practical training in copied acts, signed minutes, and formal household correspondence.

== Career ==
Nostrini entered service at the [[Casa di San Michele]] on 16 March 1801 as a copy clerk for the northern branch. His early work was based on clean-copy writing and the preparation of branch correspondence for [[Vittorio Nostrini]].

After the land reforms in the [[Kingdom of Naples]] in 1806, the Nostrini household reviewed its inheritance papers and branch claims. On 8 February 1807, Nostrini was assigned to the Aversa household office under Vittorio. He prepared copies of letters sent to the Calabrian branch and helped arrange the material used before the 1811 meeting.

On 23 April 1811, the opening day of the [[Convocazione Settentrionale della Famiglia Nostrini]], Nostrini was appointed ''segretario della convocazione''. He wrote the internal notes of the sittings and kept the speaking order used by the family council. His notes followed the dispute between Vittorio Nostrini and [[Saverio Nostrini]] over the position of capofamiglia and the location of the central family archive.

The final act was signed on 30 April 1811. Nostrini remained at the Casa di San Michele after the meeting and began the ''Memoria familiare della Convocazione Settentrionale della Famiglia Nostrini''. He completed the first version on 18 June 1811. On 7 September 1811, he catalogued the first transferred archive chests received at Aversa after the settlement.

Nostrini was appointed ''archivista maggiore'' of the northern household on 6 January 1820. In that role, he supervised copies of the [[Statuto domestico Nostrini]], branch letters, and succession papers used by Vittorio Nostrini. He retired from daily archive work on 1 April 1854.

== Personal life ==
Nostrini lived mainly at the Casa di San Michele in Aversa. He married Teresa Bellandi on 16 February 1815 at the Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo in Aversa. The marriage strengthened the working relationship between the Nostrini household and the Bellandi notarial family.

His height was 1.71 m. He used the surname Nostrini throughout his life, while younger northern branches increasingly used the Norte form after the 1811 settlement.

== Death ==
Nostrini died on 20 February 1858 at the Casa di San Michele in Aversa. He was 73 years old.
