Casa di San Michele was a Nostrini family residence and administrative house in Aversa, north of Naples. It served as the seat of the family's northern branch during the succession dispute that followed the death of Domenico Nostrini in 1810. The Convocazione Settentrionale della Famiglia Nostrini was held at the house from 23 to 30 April 1811, after which the central family archive was transferred there.

History
The northern branch was using Casa di San Michele for family administration by 1801. Benedetto Nostrini entered service there as a copy clerk on 16 March 1801. Vittorio Nostrini entered the northern branch register at the house on 12 February 1802 as an assistant administrator.

Legal reforms in the Kingdom of Naples in 1806 led the Nostrini household to review its land papers and inheritance claims. Casa di San Michele became the northern branch's working base for the review. Vittorio was appointed procuratore del ramo settentrionale on 19 May 1808 and used the house while pressing for senior family authority to move to Aversa.

1811 convocation
Domenico Nostrini died at Casa Nostrini in Cosenza on 18 November 1810 without leaving a succession settlement accepted by the senior branches. Vittorio issued the lettera di convocazione on 3 December and ordered the branch representatives to meet in Aversa. The delegates reached the city on 21 April 1811. Two days later, the convocation opened at Casa di San Michele.

The family council met at the house from 23 to 27 April. A final vote was held on 28 April after Raffaele Nostrini supported Vittorio's relocation settlement. The Atto della Convocazione was signed on 30 April and recognized Vittorio as capofamiglia, confirming the authority of the main northern branch. Under the settlement, the central family archive was ordered transferred from Calabria.

The Statuto domestico Nostrini was copied and sealed on 12 May 1811. The first archive chests transferred under the settlement reached Casa di San Michele on 7 September. Benedetto catalogued the records for the northern household.

Later use
Casa di San Michele remained Vittorio Nostrini's residence and administrative seat after the convocation. Alessandro Nostrini also lived there after the 1811 settlement and died at the house on 14 March 1837.

Benedetto continued working with the archive at Casa di San Michele. He became archivista maggiore of the northern household on 6 January 1820. After retiring from daily archive work on 1 April 1854, he remained associated with the house and died there on 20 February 1858.

In Vittorio's later years, Casa di San Michele kept the senior family seals and the central archive while branch representatives handled much of the daily administration. Vittorio continued to live at the house and died there on 4 August 1884 while still serving as capofamiglia.
