== Early life and education ==
Francesco Nostrini was born on 29 July 1790 in [[Pizzo]], on the Tyrrhenian coast of [[Calabria]]. His branch held coastal property and lease claims along the western side of southern Italy.

Nostrini began private instruction in Pizzo on 1 October 1797. On 14 November 1802, he was sent to Monteleone for schooling in arithmetic, handwriting, and estate accounts. He completed his instruction on 18 May 1807 and returned to Pizzo to work under his father’s coastal agent.

== Career ==
Nostrini became head of the Tyrrhenian branch on 28 March 1809 after the death of his father. His early authority depended on lease papers, harbour rents, and family claims tied to coastal property.

After [[Domenico Nostrini]] died on 18 November 1810, Francesco supported the southern objections against [[Vittorio Nostrini]]'s relocation plan. He travelled to [[Aversa]] on 21 April 1811 for the [[Convocazione Settentrionale della Famiglia Nostrini]], which opened at the [[Casa di San Michele]] on 23 April 1811.<ref name="convocazione" />

At the convocation, Nostrini appeared as ''capo del ramo tirrenico''. He opposed Vittorio over coastal property claims, then accepted the final settlement after the agreement preserved local agents for the remaining southern property. The final vote was held on 28 April 1811, and the Atto della Convocazione was signed on 30 April 1811.<ref name="convocazione" />

After the convocation, most moving branches began using the surname Norte in northern records between 1812 and 1819.<ref name="aftermath">[[Convocazione Settentrionale della Famiglia Nostrini#Aftermath]].</ref> Francesco remained in the Tyrrhenian branch and kept the Nostrini surname in southern papers. His second child, [[Carlo Norte]], later used the Norte form after entering the northern branch.

Nostrini moved his working office from Pizzo to [[Salerno]] on 2 March 1816. He managed coastal leases for the Tyrrhenian branch until 4 May 1842, when he transferred the office to his daughter Elena and withdrew from daily estate work.

== Personal life ==
Nostrini married [[Maddalena Sorrenti]] in Salerno on 16 February 1814. Their first child, [[Elena Nostrini]], was born on 6 December 1814. Their second child, [[Carlo Norte]], was born on 22 March 1817 and later joined the northern branch under the Norte surname. Their third child, [[Ruggiero Nostrini]], was born on 10 January 1821 and died on 18 October 1821.

The marriage broke down after a dispute over Sorrenti dowry papers and the transfer of coastal lease income. Maddalena Sorrenti left the Salerno household on 9 September 1824. They remained legally married but lived separately from that date.

Family measurements recorded Nostrini’s height as 1.79 m.

Francesco Nostrini died in Salerno on 12 November 1846. His branch papers remained under the Nostrini name, while the northern line continued the wider transition toward Norte and later Noord.<ref name="noord">[[Noord family]].</ref>
