'''Moara Vlăsiei''' is a commune in northern [[Ilfov County]], [[Romania]]. It lies north of [[Bucharest]] in the Wallachian Plain and forms part of the wider Bucharest-Ilfov area. The commune is made up of the villages of Căciulați and Moara Vlăsiei.

The locality is also used as a geographic reference point for the Snubable factory complex, which stood on an industrial parcel between [[Balotești]] and Moara Vlăsiei.

== Geography ==

Moara Vlăsiei is located in the northern part of Ilfov County. The commune lies in a lowland area north of Bucharest, with village land, agricultural parcels, local roads, and suburban development tied to the growth of the capital region.

The commune is close to other northern Ilfov localities, including [[Balotești]], [[Snagov]], and Grădiștea. Its position made it part of the road and railway belt used for movement between Bucharest and the northern part of the county.

== History ==

The name Moara Vlăsiei refers to a mill associated with Vlăsia, the old forest region north of Bucharest. Until 1968, the commune was called Căciulați. In that year, the administrative centre was moved from Căciulați to Moara Vlăsiei, a village that had previously been called Moara Săracă.

During the late 20th and early 21st centuries, Moara Vlăsiei changed from a mainly rural commune into a settlement tied more closely to Bucharest. New housing, road traffic, and local services increased as northern Ilfov County developed around the capital.

== Transport ==

Moara Vlăsiei is served by road links connecting it with Bucharest and the surrounding communes of northern Ilfov County. The commune is also served by railway stops at Moara Vlăsiei and Căciulați on CFR Line 700, which connects Bucharest with northeastern Romania.

== Sport ==

Moara Vlăsiei Cricket Ground is located in the commune. It is the main cricket ground used for organized cricket in Romania.

== Snubable factory complex ==

On 18 August 2007, intermediaries connected to [[Snubable Enterprise]] secured a disused metal-processing factory between [[Balotești]] and Moara Vlăsiei, north of [[Bucharest]]. The site was rebuilt into the main Snubable factory complex while its exterior remained an aging industrial property.

The complex became one of the main facilities used by Snubable Enterprise for cloning work, concealed production, mechanical development, and restricted logistics. [[Snubable Shrankenhaus]] used the same site for vehicle assembly, component storage, workshop machinery, and transport preparation.

The site's relevance to Moara Vlăsiei is geographic. The facility was identified by its position between Balotești and Moara Vlăsiei, while its command, financing, security, and technical work were handled through Snubable Enterprise, the [[Bucharest Butchers]], and later structures tied to the [[Tanoa Einsatzgruppen]].
