He was the son of [[Carlo Bellandi]] and [[Lucia Nostrini Bellandi]], and belonged to the household connected to the northern Nostrini branch after the [[Convocazione Settentrionale della Famiglia Nostrini]].<ref name="carlo-children">''[[Carlo Bellandi#Personal life|Carlo Bellandi]]'': "Carlo and Lucia had two children. Bellandi was born in Aversa on 18 August 1804. His father was a notary who prepared the legal record of the 1811 Nostrini convocation. His mother served as ''depositaria delle doti'' during the same meeting and handled dowry and marriage-contract papers for the family settlement.<ref name="carlo-lead">''[[Carlo Bellandi#Career|Carlo Bellandi]]'': "Bellandi attended as ''notaio rogante''.
