== Early life and education ==
Saverio Nostrini was born on 22 March 1783 in [[Cosenza]], in [[Calabria Citra]], then part of the [[Kingdom of Naples]]. He belonged to the Calabrian branch of the Nostrini family, which kept the older family seat at Casa Nostrini.

Nostrini began private instruction in Cosenza on 14 October 1790. On 6 November 1796, he entered the Seminario arcivescovile di Cosenza as an external lay pupil. He left the seminary on 2 July 1800 and began training in estate accounts under the Cosenza household office on 8 January 1801.

== Career ==
Nostrini entered the Casa Nostrini accounts office on 8 January 1801. His early work dealt with land papers, rent balances, and correspondence between the Calabrian branch and the northern branch at [[Aversa]].

On 17 August 1808, Nostrini became ''capo del ramo calabrese''. His authority covered the southern estate papers that remained at Cosenza. After [[Domenico Nostrini]] died on 18 November 1810, Nostrini rejected the transfer of senior family authority to Aversa and opposed Vittorio Nostrini's claim to the position of capofamiglia.<ref name="domenico">''[[Domenico Nostrini]]'', death and succession section: Domenico Nostrini died on 18 November 1810, and the dispute was settled at the convocation held from 23 to 30 April 1811.</ref>

On 17 January 1811, Nostrini delivered the first written objections to the relocation plan. Nostrini travelled to [[Aversa]] on 21 April 1811. The convocation opened at the [[Casa di San Michele]] on 23 April 1811. The final vote was held on 28 April 1811. Vittorio's party won after [[Raffaele Nostrini]] supported the relocation settlement. Saverio Nostrini accepted the result after the agreement preserved local agents for the remaining Calabrian property. The settlement did not dissolve the Calabrian branch. After the convocation, most moving branches began using the surname Norte in northern records between 1812 and 1819. On 2 May 1848, Nostrini transferred the active Calabrian branch papers to his eldest son, [[Pietro Nostrini]]. He retained authority over older inheritance copies until his death.

== Personal life ==
Nostrini married [[Giulia Marchese]] at Cosenza Cathedral on 19 April 1807. Their first child, [[Pietro Nostrini]], was born on 11 February 1809 and later inherited the Calabrian branch papers. Their second child, [[Maria Carmela Nostrini Greco|Maria Carmela Nostrini]], was born on 3 October 1812 and married Cosenza tax clerk Antonio Greco on 28 June 1834. Their third child, [[Tommaso Nostrini]], was born on 26 January 1818 and entered the Calabrian household office as a copy clerk on 4 May 1836.

Giulia Marchese died in Cosenza on 12 December 1844. Nostrini did not remarry. Family measurements recorded his height as 1.82 m.

== Death ==
Saverio Nostrini died on 18 September 1856 at Casa Nostrini in [[Cosenza]], [[Kingdom of the Two Sicilies]]. He was 73 years old.
