	During the late 1960s and early 1970s, Alem took part in suppression operations in Tanoa. He became known for strict enforcement of orders during resistance crackdowns. In one early operation, he publicly declared: “Everyone on their knees! These are the orders of the Führer!” The phrase later became associated with his command style.

	~~At the age of 24, Alem was injured in his right leg during a confrontation in a village. After recovering, he continued to serve in both operational and administrative capacities.~~

In the final weeks before the collapse of the regime, he attempted to travel from Georgetown to Eef Paap’s private island by road. This method of transfer was unusual at the time, as senior officials typically used air or sea transport. Alem insisted on traveling by land due to his personal dislike of water travel.

	On 3 November 2024, shortly after passing the village of [[Nicolet]], his convoy was ambushed by resistance members. The attackers used captured Tanoa Einsatzgruppen weapons, including a Panzerfaust, to disable Alem’s armored vehicle. Following the destruction of the lead vehicle and disruption of the convoy, Alem attempted to flee the scene on foot.
