Doru Tudor (9 February 1962 – 5 May 2025) was a Romanian gun runner and member of the Bucharest Butchers. He held the rank of Curier and transported firearms and ammunition between the organization's storage properties and its senior members. Tudor was a nephew of Mihail Tudor.[1]

Criminal career

[edit | edit source]

Tudor was active as a Curier by August 1993. He collected firearms and ammunition from Bucharest Butchers warehouses and smaller storage properties before delivering them to designated residences. Larger shipments were transported at night in vans accompanied by an escort car. The escort followed the van until the weapons reached their destination or transfer point.[2]

On 4 August 1993, Jibbut Snagov stole cigarette cartons and car radios from a storage room near Șoseaua Colentina. The goods belonged to Tudor. On 11 August, Tudor took Snagov to Mihail Tudor, who later recruited him into the Bucharest Butchers. In 1994, Doru assigned Snagov to collection work around Piața Obor and Colentina.[1]

Tudor continued transporting weapons for the Bucharest Butchers until the organization collapsed in May 2025.

Death

[edit | edit source]

On 5 May 2025, Tudor was shot inside a Bucharest Butchers storage property in Colentina. He died at the scene from his wounds at the age of 63.
