Common Fields

  • name - island or archipelago name.
  • image / image_caption - main image and caption.
  • image_map / image_map_caption - locator or political map.
  • coordinates - coordinates, normally with {{coord}}.
  • location - sea, ocean, lake, or region where the island is located.
  • archipelago - island group, when applicable.
  • area_km2, length_km, width_km, coastline_km, elevation_m - physical statistics.
  • country - controlling country, state, organization, or polity.
  • country_admin_divisions_title / country_admin_divisions - local administrative division.
  • population / population_as_of - population and date.
  • footnotes - short notes or source notes.
