Reinhard Glöbbelhart was a Swiss estate holder and fortress administrator. He co-founded Glöbbery on 17 October 1888 with Elias Schwammelwanger at Festung Glöbbelhart in Glöbbelharttal, Switzerland.
Reinhard was head of the Glöbbelhart family when Glöbbery was founded. He placed Festung Glöbbelhart under the order’s control and made the Glöbbelhart family responsible for the fortress. His family kept this role through the later history of the order.
Glöbbery worshipped The Gentleman, whom Glöbberists identified with Satan and Ba'al. Reinhard’s work made the fortress the centre of the order’s early meetings, records, and ceremonies.
Early life
Reinhard Glöbbelhart was born on 12 March 1847 in Glöbbelharttal, Switzerland. He was born into the Glöbbelhart family, a landholding family connected to Festung Glöbbelhart and the valley around it.
He was raised at the fortress. His education focused on estate management, household accounts, land rights, private correspondence, and the administration of the family property.
By adulthood, Reinhard had become the main administrator of the fortress estate. He controlled the household staff, access to the lower parts of the fortress, and the family records kept at the site.
Family background and heritage
The Glöbbelhart family took its name from Glöbbelharttal and the ridge above the valley. The family held Festung Glöbbelhart before the creation of Glöbbery.
Reinhard inherited the family’s role as keeper of the fortress estate. This gave him control over the place where the order was later founded. His authority came from landholding, household control, and the family’s long connection to the valley.
After 1888, the Glöbbelhart heritage became part of Glöbberian identity. The first Swiss branch of the order was known as Glöbbelhart Glöbbery. Later members treated the Glöbbelhart family as the old fortress line of the order.
Foundation of Glöbbery
Reinhard Glöbbelhart founded Glöbbery on 17 October 1888 with Elias Schwammelwanger. The founding meeting took place in the Red Salon at Festung Glöbbelhart.
Before the meeting, Reinhard prepared the fortress for use by the order. He closed the lower chambers to ordinary household staff and placed the Red Salon under direct family control. He also moved the household register into the same part of the fortress as the first Glöbberian records.
The meeting created the first Glöbberian body, known as Glöbbelhart Glöbbery. Reinhard was recorded as head of the fortress line. Elias Schwammelwanger was recorded as head of the messenger line.
The first register listed twelve members from the Glöbbelhart household, the Schwammelwanger clerical circle, and two private financiers from outside the valley. Each member signed the register, accepted the authority of The Gentleman, and received a rank inside the order.
Role in Glöbbery
Reinhard controlled the fortress line of Glöbbery. This gave the Glöbbelhart family authority over Festung Glöbbelhart, the Red Salon, the family register, and the first membership book.
He made the fortress the working centre of the order. Meetings, oaths, records, and early ceremonies were kept under Glöbbelhart control.
Reinhard also set the first offices inside the order. He appointed officers for fortress access, record keeping, payments, and security. These offices gave Glöbbery a working structure from its first year.
His role was mainly administrative. He gave the order a permanent seat and made his family responsible for protecting it.
Relationship with Elias Schwammelwanger
Elias Schwammelwanger was Reinhard’s co-founder. Elias prepared the first written rules of Glöbbery and created the messenger line of the order.
The two founders divided authority between their families. Reinhard controlled the fortress and the household register. Elias controlled doctrine papers, sacrifice ledgers, financial obligations, and foreign contacts.
This division shaped Glöbbery from 1888 until its destruction in 2026. The Glöbbelhart family remained tied to the fortress. The Schwammelwanger family remained tied to the messenger office.
Marriage and children
Reinhard married Mathilde Glöbbelhart, who became part of the fortress household at Festung Glöbbelhart. The marriage strengthened the family’s internal control over the estate and its records.
Reinhard and Mathilde had four children: Adelheid Glöbbelhart, Markus Glöbbelhart, Otto Glöbbelhart, and Verena Glöbbelhart.
Adelheid Glöbbelhart was connected to household administration at Festung Glöbbelhart. She maintained family correspondence and private guest records connected to early Glöbberian meetings.
Markus Glöbbelhart became Reinhard’s main heir in the fortress line. He inherited responsibility for the family register, fortress keys, and internal access rules after Reinhard’s death.
Otto Glöbbelhart managed estate finance and outside property contacts. His work helped preserve the family’s land around Glöbbelharttal.
Verena Glöbbelhart was connected to family records and ritual inheritance. Later family accounts described her as one of the people who preserved older Glöbbelhart household papers.
Later years
Reinhard remained active in Glöbbery after its foundation. He kept the Red Salon under Glöbbelhart authority and maintained the family’s control over the fortress.
During his later years, he focused on the first membership register and the transfer of household duties to his children. Markus Glöbbelhart became the main heir to the fortress line.
Reinhard died on 4 February 1919 at Festung Glöbbelhart. After his death, the Glöbbelhart family continued to hold the fortress line of Glöbbery.
Legacy
Reinhard Glöbbelhart is remembered as the founder who placed Festung Glöbbelhart at the centre of Glöbbery. His control of the fortress made the Glöbbelhart family one of the two founding lines of the order.
His legacy continued through the Glöbbelhart family, the Red Salon, the first membership register, and the later authority of the fortress line. The family’s role lasted until Glöbbery was exposed on 3 December 2024 and destroyed on 18 May 2026.
The later Reinhard Glöbbelhart came from this family line and became the last major representative of the old Glöbbelhart authority during the final period of the order.
