Early life and education

edit

Alessandro Nostrini was born on 9 October 1772 in Naples, then part of the Kingdom of Naples. He was raised in the northern branch of the Nostrini family.

Nostrini received private education in Naples from 4 November 1780. His instruction prepared him for clerical work in family administration. On 6 May 1788, he entered a notarial apprenticeship in Naples. He completed the apprenticeship on 19 December 1793.

Career

edit

Nostrini began work as a notarial clerk in Naples in 1793. His work dealt with family mandates and written authority used in property and succession matters.

On 18 August 1808, Nostrini became procuratore familiare of the northern Nostrini branch. The position gave him authority to represent relatives in internal legal matters. His role became more important after the death of Domenico Nostrini on 18 November 1810, when the succession of the family leadership became disputed.

Nostrini attended the Convocazione Settentrionale della Famiglia Nostrini, held from 23 to 30 April 1811 at the Casa di San Michele in Aversa. He supported Vittorio Nostrini against Saverio Nostrini and accepted the settlement signed on 30 April 1811.

After the convocation, Nostrini remained at Aversa. He continued as a notarial clerk and handled family legal administration for the northern branch during the early Norte period.
