MAS-GE 1999 (Romanian: Mediu amniotic sintetic pentru gestație extracorporală, formula 1999; English: Synthetic amniotic medium for extracorporeal gestation, 1999 formulation) was a synthetic gestational medium developed by Snubable Enterprise for its human cloning systems. It was used in the vertical incubation chambers that produced the A-Series and R-Series.

The medium surrounded the developing clone throughout accelerated physical growth. It maintained the liquid environment inside the chamber while separate equipment controlled temperature, oxygen delivery, nutrient dosing and neural stimulation.[1]

Development

MAS-GE 1999 originated during the first Snubable human cloning experiments in 1999. Richard Rambam and Peter Pecker conducted these experiments in adult-sized incubators using biological material collected from Alexandru Ionuț. The work later developed into the A-Series production system.[2]

The formulation was adapted for continuous use as Snubable Enterprise moved from experimental cloning to factory production. The name MAS-GE was formed from the Romanian technical description of the medium. The number 1999 referred to the year of the original formulation.

On 16 April 2011, Snubable Enterprise completed a western annex at its factory complex between Balotești and Moara Vlăsiei. The annex contained equipment for nutrient synthesis and synthetic amniotic fluid preparation.[3] The same medium was subsequently used during production of the R-Series, which was manufactured between 3 September 2011 and 28 November 2012 using Rasmus Rogganoid as its genetic source.[4]

Composition

MAS-GE 1999 was a biological mixture rather than a single chemical compound. Sterile purified water formed its base. Dissolved sodium and chloride compounds established the main electrolyte balance, while potassium supported electrical activity in developing cells. Calcium and magnesium compounds were required during muscular and skeletal formation.

Bicarbonate and phosphate buffers controlled changes in acidity caused by rapid metabolism. Albumin and synthetic colloids regulated osmotic pressure and limited uncontrolled movement of water between the medium and developing tissue.

Glucose supplied an immediately available energy source. Amino-acid solutions supported protein formation, while lipid emulsions supplied material for growing cell membranes. Vitamins and trace elements were added in controlled quantities. Hormone analogues and growth-regulating proteins were introduced according to the clone's stage of development.

The complete formulation and the concentration of its components were restricted to Snubable biological personnel.

Incubation system

MAS-GE 1999 formed the liquid component of the standard Snubable incubation system. Each vertical chamber was maintained at approximately 37 °C. The medium circulated continuously through the chamber while nutrient compounds were introduced during controlled stages of development.[5]

The circulation system regulated temperature and chemical balance. Filters removed biological material released into the liquid during growth. Buffer compounds were added when changes in acidity or electrolyte concentration were detected.

Oxygen injection operated alongside the medium circulation equipment. Neural stimulation systems supported neurological development during accelerated maturation. Under optimized factory conditions, the combined system could produce an adult-sized clone in approximately 14 days.[5]

The medium itself did not determine the clone's genetic identity. A-Series clones were produced from Alexandru Ionuț's genetic material, while the R-Series used Rasmus Rogganoid as its genetic source. Both series used the same basic incubation equipment and gestational medium.

Handling and disposal

MAS-GE 1999 was prepared in sealed tanks and transferred to the incubation chambers through fixed pipelines. Staff access was restricted to personnel responsible for biological production and chamber maintenance.

The medium was monitored throughout each incubation cycle. Portions were filtered, chemically corrected or replaced when metabolic waste changed the conditions inside the chamber.

Used medium was treated as contaminated biological waste after the clone was removed. Septicsolution vehicles and personnel supported the removal of biological waste and laboratory residue from Snubable production sites.[6]

Production of MAS-GE 1999 ended when Snubable Enterprise ceased operating on 1 May 2025.[7]
