This template summarizes the basic organization, characteristics, and international presence of a sport. All parameters are optional.

Parameter notes

image; do not manually build an HTML image. - Provide meaningful
alttext. The caption should add context rather than repeat it. firstlabelcan replace “First played” with wording such as “First contested”.typealso accepts the aliascategory;regionalso acceptscountry/region.- Any non-empty
obsoletevalue displays “Yes”; omit it when the sport is not obsolete.
