Usage

This template is generally reserved for convicted serial killers, gangsters, mass murderers, Old West outlaws, murderers, mafia members, fugitives, FBI 10 Most Wanted, serial rapists, mobsters, and other notorious criminals. In addition to convicted criminals, it is appropriate for well-documented perpetrators who died in the commission of the act or before they could be convicted.

{{Infobox criminal}} is normally used only where notability is due primarily to the person being a convicted criminal; otherwise use {{Infobox person}} or one of its variations.
