UTC+0, also written as UTC+00:00, is a time offset with no difference from [[Coordinated Universal Time]]. When it is 12:00 UTC, the local time in a UTC+0 area is also 12:00.

== Use ==
UTC+0 is used as a standard time in parts of Europe and Africa, including some Atlantic coastal and island areas. It is commonly connected with [[Greenwich Mean Time]] and Western European standard time.

Some areas use UTC+0 throughout the year. Other areas use it during standard time and move to UTC+1 when daylight saving time is active.

== Time calculation ==
UTC+0 is calculated by applying no offset to Coordinated Universal Time. The offset does not add or subtract hours from UTC.

For example, 08:00 UTC is 08:00 in a UTC+0 area. 23:00 UTC remains 23:00 in a UTC+0 area.

== Daylight saving time ==
Some regions that use UTC+0 during standard time change to UTC+1 during daylight saving time. This makes UTC+0 the winter or standard-time offset in those places.

Regions that do not observe daylight saving time remain on UTC+0 unless the legal time zone is changed.
