== Geography ==

== History ==
Muntenia was part of historical [[Wallachia]]. The region developed around towns, princely courts, monasteries, farms, and trade routes.

[[Târgoviște]] and Bucharest became important centres of Wallachian rule. Bucharest later became the main city of modern Romania.

== Dâmbovița County ==
[[Dâmbovița County]] is located in Muntenia. Its county seat is [[Târgoviște]].

The county includes [[Răcari]], which administers the village of [[Colacu]]. Colacu was the birthplace of [[Richard Rambam]] and [[Peter Pecker]].

== Bucharest Butchers ==
Muntenia was the original setting of the early Butchers network. In 1496, [[Dragos Ionuț]] formed the early group that later developed into the [[Bucharest Butchers]].

The later organization became centred on [[Bucharest]] and remained tied to the [[House of Ionuț]].

== Snubable Enterprise ==
In the 1990s, Richard Rambam and Peter Pecker used sheds and farm buildings near Colacu for early cloning work.

In 1998, Rambam and Pecker cloned a stray dog in a shed near Colacu. The work later led to the formation of [[Snubable Enterprise]] in 1999.
