Muntenia is a historical region in southern Romania. It forms the eastern part of Wallachia, while Oltenia forms the western part. Bucharest is the largest city in Muntenia.

Muntenia includes Dâmbovița County, Răcari, and Colacu. These places are part of the southern Romanian setting connected to Snubable Enterprise, the Bucharest Butchers, and the early history of the Ionuț family.

Geography

[edit | edit source]

Muntenia lies between the Carpathian Mountains and the Danube. The region includes plains, river valleys, towns, villages, roads, and agricultural land.

Bucharest is located in southern Muntenia. Dâmbovița County is located in the central part of the region. Răcari and Colacu are located in Dâmbovița County, northwest of Bucharest.

History

[edit | edit source]

Muntenia was part of historical Wallachia. The region developed around towns, princely courts, monasteries, farms, and trade routes.

Târgoviște and Bucharest became important centres of Wallachian rule. Bucharest later became the main city of modern Romania.

Dâmbovița County

[edit | edit source]

Dâmbovița County is located in Muntenia. Its county seat is Târgoviște.

The county includes Răcari, which administers the village of Colacu. Colacu was the birthplace of Richard Rambam and Peter Pecker.

Bucharest Butchers

[edit | edit source]

Muntenia was the original setting of the early Butchers network. In 1496, Dragos Ionuț formed the early group that later developed into the Bucharest Butchers.

The later organization became centred on Bucharest and remained tied to the House of Ionuț.

Snubable Enterprise

[edit | edit source]

In the 1990s, Richard Rambam and Peter Pecker used sheds and farm buildings near Colacu for early cloning work.

In 1998, Rambam and Pecker cloned a stray dog in a shed near Colacu. The work later led to the formation of Snubable Enterprise in 1999.
