The Van Noords handled this business through Swiss commercial networks. == Collapse ==
Internal conflict among the Van Noord owners and managers began in 1943. Sabotage disrupted the company's workshops, while killings and disappearances removed most of its leadership. [[Alessandro Van Noord]], the only surviving member of the Schaan branch, fled to Switzerland in May 1945. The surrender of Nazi Germany ended the industrial network that had supported the company's wartime orders.
