== History ==

The Allgemeine SS was established in 1944 during the initial consolidation of authority that followed the arrival of the Tanoa expedition. It developed from an internal security formation into a permanent organization with administrative and paramilitary authority. Its responsibilities expanded to include governance, policing and regulatory enforcement.<ref name="history-establishment"/>

Under [[Jose Alem]], who served as Reichsführer-SS from 1944 to 1985, the organization established permanent central offices. Intelligence services were brought into a common reporting system with the police. Demographic administration was also incorporated into this centralized structure.

[[Eduardo Krüger]] led the Allgemeine SS from 1985 to 2005. During his tenure, the organization expanded coordination between its security agencies and financial institutions. Its civil administrative offices were also connected more closely to the central command structure.

[[Chiche Alem]] succeeded Krüger in 2005. He remained Reichsführer-SS until his death on 3 November 2024. Under Alem, the organization retained authority over internal security coordination and population registration. Its enforcement systems continued to operate throughout territories governed by the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen.<ref name="chiche-leadership"/> The Allgemeine SS continued to exist after Alem's death until its dissolution on 30 November 2024.
