== History ==

The Kriminalpolizei was formally established in 1953 as part of the creation of the [[Tanoanischssicherheitshauptamt]]. Its foundation marked the centralization of criminal investigations under a unified security authority within the structure of the [[Allgemeine SS]].

Before 1953, criminal cases were handled by regional enforcement offices with limited coordination and inconsistent documentation standards. Following its incorporation into the Tanoanischssicherheitshauptamt, investigative procedures were standardized. Reporting formats, evidence archiving, and identity cross-referencing systems were centralized at the headquarters in [[Georgetown]].

During the territorial expansion of the [[Tanoa Einsatzgruppen]] in the 1960s and 1970s, the Kriminalpolizei extended its operational reach beyond Tanoa. Regional investigative offices were established in controlled territories, operating under direct administrative supervision from Georgetown.

In 1987, the Kriminalpolizei conducted a large-scale internal investigation known as the [[Georgetown Industrial Fraud Case]]. The operation targeted coordinated falsification of industrial supply records and unauthorized diversion of construction materials intended for state infrastructure projects.

In 2006, the agency conducted coordinated enforcement actions during the [[Registration Enforcement Campaign of 2006]], targeting irregular labor classifications and falsified residence documentation. These operations strengthened integration between criminal investigations and centralized registration databases.

The Kriminalpolizei remained active until 30 November 2024, when the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen collapsed and its administrative structure was dissolved together with the Tanoanischssicherheitshauptamt.
