== Organization and administration ==
The Großabschnitt Afrika was subordinate to the Oberkommando der Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. Territorial command matters were supervised through the [[Amt für Territoriale Kommandostrukturen]]. The [[Amt für Regionale Politische Verwaltung]] reviewed political administration and reports received from regional authorities.<ref name="regional-organization"/> Legal and administrative rules were issued by the [[Amt für Staatliche Rechtsordnung]]. The [[Amt für Außenpolitische Angelegenheiten]] handled communication with external governments and political intermediaries when the command dealt with puppet administrations.

In territories under direct rule, the regional staff supervised command offices and security detachments. Where an existing government remained in place, the Großabschnitt transmitted central directives through local officials and monitored their implementation. Puppet administrations retained civilian ministries and local offices, but decisions affecting security policy, foreign relations, border control, and regional reporting remained subject to Tanoan approval. Reports sent to [[Georgetown]], [[Tanoa]], recorded political conditions and the performance of subordinate authorities.<ref name="regional-functions"/>

The internal structure followed the organization used by the other Regional Großabschnitte.

[[Quique Miguel Ponce]] was appointed commander in 2020. Holding the rank of [[SS-Oberstgruppenführer]], he directed the command staff from Monrovia and supervised regional administration, logistics, and security operations.<ref name="ponce-command"/>
