== Administration and authority ==

The TSHA required its subordinate services to use common reporting and filing procedures. Security records were connected to identification documents and residence status. Labour assignments could also be entered into the records used by the security branches. Regional offices sent their reports to Georgetown for review and archival storage.<ref name="gestapo-operations"/><ref name="kripo-organization"/><ref name="tsd-activities"/>

The office directed security administration across territories controlled by the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. It was an administrative and supervisory command. Combat formations remained outside its direct role. The subordinate services carried out investigations and surveillance, while arrests or protective work were handled by the branch responsible for the case. TSHA headquarters coordinated their reports and enforced central security directives.<ref name="allgemeine-security"/><ref name="departments"/>
