Personal life
Petru Ionuț entered a relationship with Silvia Wilson in February 2022. Wilson was a Romanian-American employee at his Hollywood casino who had first worked as a cleaner before becoming a house dealer. She was repeatedly assigned to the roulette tables used by Petru and later became his required dealer during Romanian Roulette, both on the main gaming floor and during private games in his penthouse. Their conversations became regular through these assignments, and their relationship became personal in February 2022.

In autumn 2023, Wilson told Petru that her younger sister, Sonia Wilson, had failed university coursework after refusing to submit a required paper supporting material on gender transition and gender identity policy. Petru went to the university with Ruben Istrate and Iakob Ionuț, entered the director's office and assaulted him. He threatened to kill the director unless Sonia was allowed to pass. When the director attempted to report the assault, Petru used his political and criminal contacts to suppress the complaint and threatened to have him imprisoned if he discussed the incident again. Sonia was subsequently passed by the university.

By 2024, Wilson had regular access to Petru's casino routine and his private penthouse. She became pregnant with his child during that year and informed him on 19 August 2024, shortly before leaving Los Angeles with Ruben Istrate. Their daughter, Alina Ionuț, was born in Tennessee in 2025.
