The Großabschnitt Nord-Atlantik functioned as a regional administrative command responsible for implementing directives issued by the [[Tanoa Einsatzgruppen]] within North Atlantic-linked routes, offices, and external coordination areas. Political supervision of the regional command system was connected to the [[Amt für Regionale Politische Verwaltung]].
