== History ==

Pieter Noord moved from [[Rotterdam]] to Yokohama in 1983. He spent the following years studying the Japanese tire market before founding Teelt-Tyres in 1986. The company initially concentrated on replacement tires for ordinary passenger cars.

Teelt-Tyres began exporting tires to the [[Netherlands]] and [[Italy]] in 1994. These were its first export markets outside Japan.

In 2001, the company introduced its first performance tire. This expanded its product range beyond its established replacement tires.
