Rikard Rogganoid (9 October 1976 – presumed 9 June 2014) was a Romanian marketing manager who worked at Hotel Rogganoid from its opening in 1998. He handled part of the resort's public presentation and later helped advertise the R-Series clones working there. The advertising conflicted with restrictions imposed by Snubable Enterprise. Rogganoid was reported to have been shot in Bucharest on 9 June 2014, but his body was never recovered and later records created uncertainty over whether he had died that day.

Early life

[edit | edit source]

Rogganoid was born in Băneasa, Bucharest, on 9 October 1976 as the youngest son of Rainer Rogganoid and Viorica Rogganoid. He was raised with three older brothers on property held by the Rogganoid family, which already owned land and buildings in Băneasa before Hotel Rogganoid opened.[1]

Criminal incidents

[edit | edit source]

On 22 August 1995, Rogganoid took a car and drove it through northern Bucharest before damaging it. Police arrested him after the incident. He was charged with carjacking and joyriding. Damage to the vehicle resulted in a separate vandalism charge. Following intervention by his family, Rogganoid received a suspended sentence with a compensation order.

While vacationing in Denmark on 16 July 2007, Rogganoid became involved in a public disturbance and shouted support for concentration camps. Danish police removed him from the site and questioned him before releasing him. After his return to Romania, police searched his home and found firearms together with symbols associated with the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen.

Career

[edit | edit source]

Rogganoid began working at Hotel Rogganoid when the resort opened in Băneasa in 1998. He dealt directly with guests and worked on advertising that presented the hotel as a luxury resort. His work concentrated on the hotel's public image.[2]

The R-Series clones began working at Hotel Rogganoid on 12 January 2013. During 2014, Rogganoid helped advertise them as an attraction for visitors. The publicity exposed the clone series beyond the use intended by Snubable Enterprise and drew attention that the company had sought to avoid. The hotel's agreement with Snubable was formally broken on 4 March 2014 over the advertising of the clones as part of the resort.[3]

Personal life

[edit | edit source]

Rogganoid had a girlfriend during the later years of his life. She suffered a miscarriage before his disappearance in June 2014.

Disappearance and presumed death

[edit | edit source]

On 9 June 2014, Rogganoid was reported to have been shot by Jibbut Snagov in Bucharest.[4] His body was not recovered. Snagov was believed to have burned it after the shooting, although this was never established. The Rogganoid family record lists Rikard as having died on 9 June 2014.[4]

Documents later recovered from an underground Snubable Enterprise facility listed a catering worker as Rikard R.. The record led to a theory that Richard Rambam had taken Rogganoid into the facility and recorded him under the surname Rambam. No recovered evidence definitively identified the worker as Rikard Rogganoid. His final fate therefore remained uncertain despite the recorded death date.
