The Allgemeine SS was the central paramilitary and administrative branch of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. Established in 1944, it served as the primary authority for internal security and civil administration. It also enforced ideological policy throughout territories governed by the regime. The organization operated under the Reichsführer-SS, who exercised authority over its security agencies. Population registration systems and administrative departments also operated within its command structure.[1]
The Allgemeine SS was headquartered in Georgetown. From there, it coordinated internal policing and intelligence services. It supervised youth organization structures and racial policy offices through its administrative hierarchy. These responsibilities made it the principal administrative and internal-security institution of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. It remained active until the regime collapsed on 30 November 2024.
History
[edit | edit source]The Allgemeine SS was established in 1944 during the initial consolidation of authority that followed the arrival of the Tanoa expedition. It developed from an internal security formation into a permanent organization with administrative and paramilitary authority. Its responsibilities expanded to include governance, policing and regulatory enforcement.[2]
Under Jose Alem, who served as Reichsführer-SS from 1944 to 1985, the organization established permanent central offices. Intelligence services were brought into a common reporting system with the police. Demographic administration was also incorporated into this centralized structure.
Eduardo Krüger led the Allgemeine SS from 1985 to 2005. During his tenure, the organization expanded coordination between its security agencies and financial institutions. Its civil administrative offices were also connected more closely to the central command structure.
Chiche Alem succeeded Krüger in 2005. He remained Reichsführer-SS until his death on 3 November 2024. Under Alem, the organization retained authority over internal security coordination and population registration. Its enforcement systems continued to operate throughout territories governed by the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen.[3] The Allgemeine SS continued to exist after Alem's death until its dissolution on 30 November 2024.
Structure
[edit | edit source]The Allgemeine SS was organized as a centralized administrative and paramilitary institution under the Reichsführer-SS. Its internal-security agencies operated within the same command system as its civil administrative offices. Demographic authorities also reported through this hierarchy. Armed security formations remained under its administrative command.
All departments and subordinate bodies reported through a chain of command that ended at the Allgemeine SS headquarters in Georgetown. Regional commanders transmitted orders to local administrative supervisors. Reports from local offices were returned through the same hierarchy. This system allowed enforcement agencies to coordinate with administrative offices and economic institutions.
Security offices
[edit | edit source]The central security office of the Allgemeine SS was the Tanoanischssicherheitshauptamt (TSHA). The TSHA acted as the highest coordinating authority for intelligence and internal-security matters. It standardized reporting and directed subordinate security services from Georgetown.[4]
The Geheime Staatspolizei conducted political investigations and enforcement against suspected opposition. The Sicherheitsdienst von Eef Paap served as the principal intelligence service. The Kriminalpolizei investigated offences classified as non-political crimes under regime law. The Tanoanischsicherheitsdienst performed protective duties and managed internal-security screening.
Through these agencies, the Allgemeine SS directed intelligence collection and internal surveillance. Police operations were coordinated through the TSHA reporting system. The organization also supervised youth programs through its wider administrative hierarchy.
The Rasse- und Siedlungshauptamt served as the authority for demographic and racial policy. It administered lineage classifications used by the regime. The office also directed settlement policy and maintained population registration frameworks.
Armed units and divisions
[edit | edit source]Beyond its administrative and policing functions, the Allgemeine SS maintained armed formations and divisional structures. These formations were assigned to internal-security operations and territorial control. They protected infrastructure and carried out enforcement actions under the authority of the Reichsführer-SS.
Among the formations within its command hierarchy was the Leibstandarte SS Eef Paap. The Leibstandarte maintained escort units assigned to senior leadership. Guard commands protected facilities and personnel, while logistical detachments supported deployments. Its specialized operational formations included the Dinosaurier-Truppen.
The Allgemeine SS also operated alongside the Weltraumgruppen. Within the wider Tanoa Einsatzgruppen command structure, the Weltraumgruppen formed a separate branch responsible for spaceflight programs and extraterrestrial installations.[1]
The armed formations of the Allgemeine SS remained administratively integrated into its command hierarchy. They operated alongside the other military and security branches of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. The Waffen SS maintained a separate command system and served as the principal conventional field-combat branch. Allgemeine SS formations instead concentrated on security operations within Tanoa and other territories under its authority.[5]
Féminas-Abteilung Nacional de Eef Paap
[edit | edit source]The Féminas-Abteilung Nacional de Eef Paap (FNdEP) was a subordinate department of the Allgemeine SS. It functioned as a specialized administrative and ceremonial unit within the SS hierarchy.[6]
The department managed breeding programs approved by senior leadership. Internal rules governing the programs examined family background and population policy. Selected women were entered into official registration systems. They underwent medical examinations and were documented within the department's records.
The FNdEP organized ceremonies connected to the leadership of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. It also arranged ritual events and staged performances. These activities were conducted through its ceremonial administration.
The department assigned female attendants to senior officials, including members of the highest leadership. Assignments were issued through official orders. Each assignment was recorded within the department's administrative system.[7]
Personnel
[edit | edit source]Personnel of the Allgemeine SS included administrative officials and security officers. Intelligence operatives worked within its central and regional services. Technical staff supported registration systems, communications and other internal-governance functions. The organization employed both uniformed paramilitary members and civilian administrators.
The Allgemeine SS maintained a continuous presence across the island of Tanoa. Regional security offices enforced central directives within assigned territories. Administrative personnel worked within district offices, while labor coordination centres managed allocations. Registration authorities maintained population records. Personnel were distributed through settlements and operational zones to maintain enforcement of regime policy.
The organization also maintained personnel structures in Argentina. These offices supported logistical coordination and operated recruitment networks. They processed financial channels and provided external administrative support for the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen.
Recruitment standards emphasized political loyalty and ideological conformity. Candidates were also expected to demonstrate administrative reliability. Internal screening and background evaluations were completed before appointments were approved. Senior officers were generally selected from long-serving members of regime institutions.
Authority flowed from the Reichsführer-SS to the central offices in Georgetown. Regional commanders operated beneath the central administration, while local administrative supervisors implemented orders within their assigned districts. Personnel could hold concurrent responsibilities in related institutions. These appointments connected security administration with demographic registration and economic oversight.
Ranks and insignia
[edit | edit source]The Allgemeine SS maintained a formal paramilitary rank system. Rank determined command authority and administrative responsibility. It also established an individual's position within the organization.[8]
Enlisted grades formed the lower level of the hierarchy. Non-commissioned officers supervised personnel and implemented orders issued by commissioned officers. Field-grade officers commanded operational formations or administrative offices. Senior leadership ranks controlled regional commands and central departments.
The highest rank was Reichsführer-SS. The holder of this rank served as the overall head of the Allgemeine SS. Senior command ranks below the Reichsführer-SS were responsible for regional oversight. Other senior officers directed departments or specialized formations.
Rank insignia were displayed on uniforms to identify command position and function. These markings also showed institutional affiliation within the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. Promotion was determined by an individual's service record and institutional loyalty. Appointments required approval from superior command authorities.
Uniforms and insignia
[edit | edit source]Members of the Allgemeine SS wore black military-style uniforms as their standard dress. The basic uniform consisted of a black tunic and black trousers. Personnel wore a black cap or field headgear according to their assignment. Belts and footwear were normally made from dark leather.
A red armband bearing a swastika symbol was worn on the upper arm. It identified the wearer as a member of the organization. The armband was required during official duties and administrative functions. It was also worn during ceremonies.
Rank insignia appeared on collars and shoulder boards. Their design identified the wearer's position in the hierarchy. Separate variations were used for enlisted personnel and non-commissioned officers. Field-grade officers and senior commanders wore insignia corresponding to their respective command levels.
Personnel assigned to administrative offices in Georgetown generally wore full formal dress uniforms. Members deployed to regional districts on Tanoa could wear simplified service variants suited to operational duties. Personnel stationed in Argentina used comparable service variants. Uniform standards were regulated through internal directives issued by the Allgemeine SS command.
Recruitment and training
[edit | edit source]Recruitment into the Allgemeine SS was conducted through formal internal selection procedures. Candidates were required to demonstrate political loyalty and institutional reliability. They were also expected to follow the ideological framework of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. Regional offices reviewed applications before central authorities issued final approval.
Background investigations formed part of the admission process. Officials examined the candidate's family history and prior service. Their administrative record was also reviewed. Accepted candidates were formally entered into the Allgemeine SS personnel system.
Training depended on the member's assignment. Administrative personnel learned to maintain official records. Their instruction also covered civil registration procedures and the enforcement of administrative regulations.
Security officers received preparation in internal policing. Intelligence personnel were trained in surveillance methods and reporting procedures. Both groups were instructed in the command protocols used by the central security offices.
Members assigned to armed formations completed paramilitary training. They were instructed in weapons handling and field coordination. Training also covered territorial-security operations. Specialized formations received technical instruction suited to their assigned function.
Training programs were conducted at designated facilities on Tanoa. Networks in Argentina assisted with recruitment and preparatory screening before candidates entered the central training system.
Administration and civil oversight
[edit | edit source]The Allgemeine SS exercised administrative authority across Tanoa through regional districts and central offices. Georgetown served as the centre of this structure. Local administrative units submitted reports to departmental leadership, which remained accountable to the Reichsführer-SS.
The organization maintained population registration records and assigned residence classifications. It supervised labor allocations through local administrative offices. These offices also enforced regulatory directives issued by the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. When enforcement action was required, administrators coordinated with the relevant security agency.
Local offices maintained civil records and monitored compliance with state regulations. Registration information was connected to labor status and residence permissions. This allowed administrative classifications to be used by security and economic institutions.
The Allgemeine SS coordinated with the Reichsschatzamt von Tanoa to connect civil registration with financial records. Taxation information was processed through the same administrative framework. Demographic data and employment status could therefore affect an individual's financial classification.[9]
Personnel were paid through a salary system based on rank and assignment. State financial channels processed these payments through official treasury mechanisms. Senior officers received higher salary grades because of their command responsibilities. Department heads were placed within comparable senior pay classifications. Enlisted members and administrative clerks were assigned standardized lower pay categories.
Certain assignments provided housing in addition to the base salary. Operational allowances could be issued according to deployment location and duty requirements. Logistical support was also provided when required by an assignment. These compensation arrangements were regulated internally and funded through the central financial administration.
External operations
[edit | edit source]The Allgemeine SS maintained operational and administrative structures in Argentina in addition to its presence on Tanoa. These offices supported logistical coordination and recruitment. They also processed financial channels used by the organization. Liaison personnel maintained contact with other Tanoa Einsatzgruppen institutions.
Argentine offices screened prospective personnel before their transfer into the organization. They obtained resources required by the Allgemeine SS and coordinated transport between South America and Tanoa. The offices maintained communication with administrative authorities on the island. They also assisted with the movement of technical specialists and officers. Approved recruits were transferred through the same networks.
External offices remained under central command authority. Their reports passed through the established hierarchy to the Reichsführer-SS. They also provided command coordination between the island and Argentine offices.
Most Allgemeine SS personnel remained stationed on Tanoa. The Argentine structures supported the organization throughout its existence and remained active until 30 November 2024.
Manpower
[edit | edit source]The Allgemeine SS maintained an estimated total manpower of approximately 6,000,000 personnel over the course of its existence. This estimate included full-time paramilitary members and administrative officials. Intelligence operatives were also counted within the total. Auxiliary staff and affiliated civilian personnel operating under Allgemeine SS authority formed part of the estimate.
Manpower increased during the consolidation and expansion of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. Recruitment systems on Tanoa supplied personnel to the central administration and regional offices. Networks in Argentina recruited additional members and supported their transfer into the organization.

The size of the organization allowed it to maintain enforcement offices throughout Tanoa. It operated centralized registration systems and regional security districts. External coordination units supported its activities outside the island.
The number of personnel in active deployment changed over time. Despite these fluctuations, the Allgemeine SS remained one of the largest institutions of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen until its dissolution.
Dissolution
[edit | edit source]The Allgemeine SS ceased to exist on 30 November 2024 after the collapse of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. Its central command structures were formally disbanded. Subordinate departments were ordered to terminate their operations.[10]
Administrative offices in Georgetown were closed. Regional district authorities throughout Tanoa were dissolved. Armed formations were decommissioned and their command hierarchies were dismantled.
Personnel records were secured or transferred during the shutdown. Population registration systems were also taken out of operation. Financial documentation held by the organization was secured or transferred.
The Allgemeine SS terminated its external coordination structures in Argentina. This ended the organization's overseas logistical activity and recruitment operations. After the dissolution, it no longer functioned as an administrative or paramilitary institution.
