The family later became active in Rotterdam-Zuid (faction). Its highest-ranking known member is Youssef El Berkani, who holds a senior position in the faction. The family also includes Eymen El Berkani, a lower-ranked Rotterdam-Zuid member, and Abdelkrim El Berkani, a maintenance worker based in Antwerp.
Antwerp activity
[edit | edit source]The Antwerp side of the family is mainly represented by Abdelkrim El Berkani. He founded Berkani Dakgotenservice in 2011.
The company provides gutter cleaning and roof-drainage maintenance. It became known in Antwerp for cheap undeclared work and for disputes after rejected service offers.
