Argeș River
The Argeș River is a river in southern Romania. It is a tributary of the Danube and flows through the regions of Argeș County and Giurgiu County.

The river begins in the Făgăraș Mountains in the Southern Carpathians. It passes through the cities of Curtea de Argeș and Pitești before entering the Danube near Oltenița.
The Vidraru Dam and Lake Vidraru are located on the upper section of the river. The river is also used for hydroelectric power and water supply.
