Rainer Rogganoid (12 February 1938 – 21 September 2007) was a Romanian property owner from Băneasa, Bucharest. From 1964 to 2002, he owned and managed land and buildings held by the Rogganoid family in northern Bucharest. These holdings formed the family's property base before his son Rasmus Rogganoid opened Hotel Rogganoid in 1998.[1][2]
Early life
[edit | edit source]Rainer Rogganoid was born in Băneasa on 12 February 1938. He was the son of Răzvan Rogganoid, who had continued the property holdings established by earlier generations of the family. Rainer grew up around the family's land and rental buildings in northern Bucharest.[3]
Career
[edit | edit source]Rogganoid began working as a property owner in 1964. His work was concentrated in Băneasa, where he collected rent and arranged the maintenance of family-owned buildings. He retained the family's land under Rogganoid ownership instead of transferring the holdings to a single company. His wife, Viorica Rogganoid, maintained the accounts and property records from 1971.[1]
On 17 April 1998, Rasmus Rogganoid opened Hotel Rogganoid at Strada Privighetorilor 41 in Băneasa. Rainer did not own the resort. His earlier retention of the family's land provided the property base used for the hotel, which became the main public business associated with the family during the 2000s.[2][4]
Personal life
[edit | edit source]Rainer Rogganoid married Viorica Cernat, who became known as Viorica Rogganoid. They had four sons. Rolf Rogganoid managed family land and buildings, while Rasmus owned Hotel Rogganoid. Renat Rogganoid handled hotel bookings and guest arrangements. Rikard Rogganoid worked in the promotion of the resort.[1]
Rogganoid died in Bucharest on 21 September 2007, aged 69.
