Timeline
The Vrienden Universe is structured around distinct historical eras. Each era reflects a dominant mode of organization, authority, and social logic, with later periods emerging directly from the structural outcomes of earlier ones.
Readers can explore each era to understand how the world functions during that period.
Eras
Era names describe dominant structural relationships rather than specific events. Conceptual definitions are outlined in the Universe overview.
Pre-Vader Period (1800–1919)
Foundational developments preceding formalized large-scale structures. During this period, familial, economic, and ideological frameworks emerge that later enable broader consolidation.
The Vader Era (1920–1945)
A period of large-scale global conflict characterized by competition between familial systems, accelerated innovation, and the consolidation of authority.
The structural intensity of this era establishes the conditions that directly give rise to the transformations of the subsequent period.
The Middenvader Era (1945–1955)
A transitional phase defined by internal separation, reorganization, and the partial dismantling or redirection of previously dominant structures.
Rather than introducing new systems outright, this era reshapes existing ones, laying the groundwork for long-term continuity.
The Vriend Era (1956–2025)
A period marked by decisive structural change and long-term stabilization. Systems inherited from earlier eras are fundamentally reconfigured, resulting in new forms of continuity and interaction.
This era is defined by adaptive expansion, interconnected frameworks, and the persistence of revised structures across generations.
Notes
Era names reflect in-universe conceptual distinctions. Dates indicate approximate chronological boundaries.
