Glöbbelhart family
The Glöbbelhart family was a Swiss family associated with Glöbbelharttal and Festung Glöbbelhart. The family became the fortress family of Glöbbery after the order was founded at Festung Glöbbelhart on 17 October 1888.
The family name was used for the valley and the fortress. It also became part of Glöbbelhart Glöbbery, the first Swiss branch of the order.
Origins
[edit | edit source]The documented family seat was Festung Glöbbelhart in Glöbbelharttal. Before the creation of Glöbbery, the fortress functioned as the family's private mountain seat.
Reinhard Glöbbelhart held the family position at Festung Glöbbelhart by 1888. His control of the fortress gave the new order a fixed headquarters from its first meeting.
Foundation of Glöbbery
[edit | edit source]On 17 October 1888, Reinhard Glöbbelhart founded Glöbbery with Elias Schwammelwanger in the Red Salon of Festung Glöbbelhart. The meeting created Glöbbelhart Glöbbery and placed Reinhard at the head of the fortress line.
The Schwammelwanger family formed the messenger line. This division made the Glöbbelhart family responsible for the Swiss seat of the order, while the Schwammelwanger line carried the order beyond Glöbbelharttal.
Fortress line
[edit | edit source]The fortress line kept Glöbbery tied to Festung Glöbbelhart. It gave the Glöbbelhart family a permanent place inside the Swiss branch and made the fortress the reference point for later Glöbberian sites.
Later Glöbberian facilities were organized after the first Swiss branch. The planned Romanian fortress of 2026 was also tied to the older Glöbbelhart structure, but the project was stopped after Glöbberian records were exposed.
Later period
[edit | edit source]Reinhard Glöbbelhart became the last major representative of the old family during the final period of Glöbbery. He restored the authority of the fortress line and replaced Eef Paap in the internal reporting chain.
Glöbbery was declared destroyed on 18 May 2026. The family remained historically tied to the order through Festung Glöbbelhart and the original Swiss branch.
