Gerard Paap (born 17 June 1967) is a Dutch businessman and member of the Paap family. He founded the beverage company Paapist in Rotterdam in 1993.
Career
[edit | edit source]Paap founded Paapist in Rotterdam in 1993. The company initially sold caffeinated soft drinks through shops and garages in South Holland. Night kiosks and suppliers near railway facilities also stocked the drink.
Paapist adopted purple packaging during the mid-1990s. By the end of the decade, it had established a regular market in Rotterdam and was also producing branded clothing that had developed from promotional workwear.
Personal life
[edit | edit source]Paap owns a modified 2020 Toyota GR Supra 3.0, which he bought used in 2022. The car was originally white and was repainted dark purple after he acquired it. A 600 hp street build and widebody conversion were completed in 2023. Paap uses the Supra as his regular road car.
